A Model Linda Evangelista Asks For $50 Million After Plastic Surgery ,Former Canadian model Linda Evangelista is suing her for $50 million over plastic surgery she says "brutally disfigured" her career.
Linda Evangelista Sayed who was one of the most important models in the nineties of the last century and topped her pictures in fashion magazines, said that she underwent liposuction surgery about five years ago.
And she continued, "To my followers who wonder why I am not working while my peers in the profession are in a state of vigor and brilliance, I say that the reason is that I was brutally disfigured by a back-to-back fat removal surgery."
She indicated that she suffered from "paradoxical fat hyperplasia" after the surgical intervention, which causes swelling in the areas that underwent treatment.
"The paradoxical lipid hypertrophy not only destroyed my livelihood, but also pushed me into a cycle of deep depression, deep sadness and extremes of self-loathing until I became isolated," she said.
Evangelista filed suit Tuesday in New York federal court against Zeltech Aesthetics for negligence, misleading advertising, allegation and failure to warn customers of potential side effects.
The lawsuit says that the model underwent several surgeries between 2015 and 2016 to reduce fat in different areas of her body, "but these corrective surgeries did not solve the problem of paradoxical fat enlargement."
The model is seeking compensation in the amount of 50 million dollars due to the lost income and psychological damages she suffered, as she stopped working as a model since 2016.
She added: To my followers who wonder why I don't work while my peers in the profession live in a state of vigor and brilliance, I say that I was brutally disfigured by a fat removal surgery that led to the opposite of what was desired, as I suffered a rare side effect called "paradoxical fat hypertrophy" after the surgical intervention, which is what It causes swelling in the treated areas, which not only destroyed my livelihood, but also pushed me into severe depression and self-loathing.

Evangelista claims that when her doctor contacted CoolSculpting about PAHs, the company told him they wanted to "make it right" and offered to pay for liposuction with a surgeon of the company's choice — a specialist she says they've used before — to correct the PAH damage.
